JBoss
JBoss Application Server is an open-source Java EE based application server. An important distinction for this class of software is that it not only implements a server that runs on Java, but it actually implements the Java EE part of Java. JBoss is entirely Java-based, so it operates cross-platform, thus making it usable on any operating system that supports Java. Supported standards include: JAAS, Java EE (specification versions 1.3, 1.4 and 5), JMX, Web Service standards (WS-I, Attachments Profile, WS-Security, WS-Addressing, WS-Eventing, and WS-Policy).

Caucho Resin
Resin is a high-performance, scalable Java/PHP application server. Resin is provided in two versions, Resin Professional and Resin Open Source. Resin Professional adds features and enhancements commonly needed in a professional production environment. Resin Open Source is suitable for hobbyists, developers, and low traffic websites that do not need the performance and reliability enhancements of Resin Professional. Resin is designed to be an all-around web server; not just an application server. It is said to be one of the fastest application servers in serving Servlets and Java Server Pages. Supported standards include: Java EE (specification versions 1.3, 1.4 and 5), Java Server Pages Standard Template Library (JSTL), XPath and JAXP. Other non-Java technologies that are supported include: WebDAV, Groovy, PHP and CGI.
